Beezag – Closed

Name: Beezag

Program Type: Paid Videos, occasional surveys

Date joined: 12/20/2010

Referral program? Yes

URL: http://bit.ly/nLP8vI (The referral link is REALLY long, I had to shorten it)

Amount earned: $45.00 Paid

Paid?  Yes, before they closed, they paid promptly.

  • Requested first payout on 1/25/11, received 1/27/11.
  • Second payment request sent 4/2/11, received 4/8/11.
  • Third payment request sent 10/25/11, received 11/02/11.
  • Fourth payment request sent 01/31/12, received 02/09/12
  • Fifth payment request sent 05/21/12, received 05/29/12
  • Sixth payment request sent 08/07/12, received 08/15/12
Recommended? Sadly, right now I need to change it to No at present time, but not because it’s a bad program. Rather, it appears that the program itself is either closing or changing. See this post for more information. If you’re looking for a site like Beezag or an alternative to take its place, try any of the other Paid Video sites I recommend.

Opinion Central

Name: Opinion-Central
Type of program: Surveys
Date joined: 12/26/2010
Referral program? No
Amount earned: 3575 points
Paid? No. Minimum redemption is 3,300 points. Points redeemable for merchandise only, and the merchandise selection is rather poor.
Recommended? Not at this time. The item at 3,300 points is a flimsy tote bag. Any type of quality merchandise is ridiculously over-pointed. For example, a $20.00 Hamilton Beach 5 qt slow cooker is offered for an absurd 19,000 points. After being a member for 10 months and earning only 3575 points, it would take me over five years just to be able to redeem for this.
My take is that while I won’t classify OpinionCentral as a scam site, they are definitely one of the lesser programs. I can’t add them to the recommended list simply because of how long it takes to earn points, the lack of a referral program, and the poor selection of rewards. I’ll keep doing surveys at this site, but it’s definitely a second-string site.
Should their rewards change, I’ll update this page.

Recommended? Updating my post to say No for now. I got an email from a reader stating this site has a bad reputation. Some examples of complaints on this site can be found at:
I’ll keep up with the paid emails and occasional surveys from this site, so that I have something to report for myself. I’ll also keep searching online once a month or so to see if anyone posts any positive reviews to contradict some of these others. For now though, I’d recommend not joining.

Survey Panel Group

Name: Survey Panel Group

Program type:  Surveys

Date joined: 12/20/2010

Referral program? No

URL: http://www.surveypanelgroup.com

Amount earned: There’s no way to tell! No dashboard or account history

Recommended? I’m adding to the Not Recommended list. You need to wade through tons of opt-out offers upon registration. Even once you’re registered and you log in, you get hit with the same opt-out offers you already said no to. There’s no way to check your balance. I’llcheck back in two months to see if anything has changed. For now, I’m not listing Survey Panel Group as a scam site, but it is definitely a waste of time.

Opinion World

Name: Opinion World

Type of program: Surveys

Date joined: 12/20/2010

Referral program? No

URL: http://www.opinionworld.com

Amount earned: 0 points

Paid? Nope. Minimum payout is 1,000 points.

Recommended? Not for me. The majority of surveys I haven’t qualified for. Or if I did qualify for them, their quota was filled. Or if I did qualify for them and their quota wasn’t filled – the reward was a charity donation. Err, no thanks. Your experience may be different, but this hasn’t been worthwhile for me. They’re not a scam site, but they just have been a waste of time for me so far.
